1 ½ cups sugar
½ cup shortening
1 cup pumpkin
2 eggs
½ of a 6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 ⅔ cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. ground allspice
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg
Cream together sugar and shortening. Beat in pumpkin, eggs, and orange juice concentrate. Stir in flour and remaining dry ingredients. Beat into pumpkin mixture. Turn into greased and floured 9x13x2 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
