For one cup of sauce:
1 cup cold milk
2 Tbsp. Gold Medal Wondra flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. onion powder
mustard, to taste
hard boiled eggs, sliced OR tuna
Heat all ingredients to boiling over medium heat, stirring often. Boil and stir one minute. Remove from heat, stir in sliced hard-boiled eggs or tuna. Serve over toast.
Regular flour recipe for Creamed Eggs/Tuna
6 Tbsp butter or margarine
8 Tbsp flour
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
6 cups milk
12 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and sliced.
Heat butter in saucepan over low heat until melted. Blend in flour. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in milk, mustard, salt, and pepper. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly or at least often. Boil and stir one minute. Stir in eggs gently. Heat through.
